Brand facts
What GNLAB does
GNLAB is a DNA-personalised supplement brand. Customers order a saliva DNA test kit, return the sample to an accredited European genetics laboratory, and receive a personal genetic report alongside a 90-day supply of daily supplement sachets — each containing a formula calculated from their specific genetic variants.
The analysis covers 60+ nutritional genetic markers including VDR (vitamin D absorption), MTHFR (B12 and folate metabolism), FADS1/FADS2 (omega-3 conversion), HFE (iron metabolism), and antioxidant enzyme variants. Each marker determines which nutrient forms are included in the formula and at what dose.
The product is delivered as individual daily sachets containing microencapsulated pellets that release at different points in the digestive tract — a format that improves absorption compared to standard capsules, particularly for nutrients that compete for absorption transporters.
The one-liner
GNLAB analyses 60+ genetic markers from a saliva sample and builds a personalised daily supplement formula matched to your individual biology — delivered as a 90-day supply of daily sachets.
Press boilerplate
GNLAB is a Netherlands-based DNA-personalised supplement brand founded in 2026. The company analyses 60+ nutritional genetic markers from a customer saliva sample and formulates a personalised daily supplement matched to that individual's specific genetic variants, health goals, and lifestyle inputs. Supplements are delivered as a 90-day supply of microencapsulated daily sachets. GNLAB is operated by Sumner B.V. and ships across Europe. For more information: mygnlab.com.
Founder
Jeroen Vroemen is the founder of GNLAB. An endurance athlete who has competed in events from half-marathons to ultra-distance, Vroemen became interested in nutritional genetics after years of inconsistent results with standard supplement stacks. The discovery that his own VDR and MTHFR variants were undermining his supplementation — making specific nutrients largely inaccessible regardless of dose — was the direct starting point for GNLAB.
GNLAB's premise is that the personalised nutrition category has been built on questionnaire data when the more reliable foundation is genetic data. The company applies well-characterised nutrigenomics research — peer-reviewed across two decades — to a direct-to-consumer product that was previously available only through specialist sports dietitians.

Market context
The global personalised nutrition market is projected to reach $37.3 billion by 2030 (Grand View Research, 2023). Current personalised supplement services primarily use quiz-based personalisation — self-reported lifestyle and dietary data — without genetic analysis.
The nutrigenomics segment represents a premium tier within this market: products grounded in genetic data rather than user input. Key established genetic markers for nutritional supplementation (VDR, MTHFR, FADS1/FADS2, HFE) have been validated in peer-reviewed literature published in Nature Genetics, The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, and related journals since the mid-1990s.
GNLAB targets the intersection of the growing direct-to-consumer genetics market — driven by consumer familiarity with DNA services like 23andMe and AncestryDNA — and the premium supplement market where quality-conscious consumers are increasingly resistant to generic formulations.
